This toy truck is cleverly designed to try and use wood to its advantage and pass it off as log transportation. I’m focusing on the decals that have been applied to them. I like how the front has been designed, in that the grill and the headlights are neatly drawn on. It makes the truck a lot nicer. I personally would add colour to the truck, but the main focus on this is the design of it. I may use these decals in my final truck design, and strongly considering the logs in the back carriage. I focused on the decals, because I wanted to see whether I could apply them to my final design, and see how customizable they are.

This toy train is fantastic. I’ve had toy trains in the past, and they never fail to entertain. Their interactivity with carriages and re-arranging the way their fitted gives the child the freedom to customize the way they look and move. Again, I’d much rather have the train colourful to attract children to the product a bit more, but the design of it is very clean and simple. I may decide to do a train in my final piece, but I’m worried on making the amount of wheels, and how long it would take to make all the carriages. But otherwise, it’s a strong idea to base the final product on. I studied the actual train, because it’s the main focus of the object. Your eyes are directly diverted to it wherever you look; it’s a real eye catcher.
